Express Access for NCBCH Employer Members
A free behavioral health resource that NCBCH Employer Members can make available to their employees and family members.
Finding a behavioral health provider is only part of the challenge. Employees also need to know which providers are most likely to help them improve and who has available appointments. Traditional provider directories do not show which clinicians have demonstrated treatment success for their particular needs.
Through NCBCH, Employer Members can provide their employees and family members with access to Express Access, making it easier to find effective behavioral health care. In a PCORI-funded randomized clinical trial published in JAMA Psychiatry, the outcome-based matching approach behind Express Access produced 2× clinical improvement at the end of care and 5× sustained recovery at one year compared with usual referral.

A Resource You Can Share With Employees
Express Access is designed to be easy for employers to make available. NCBCH provides Employer Members with an employee-facing page that can be shared through benefits communications, email, an employee intranet, or other internal communication channels.
Employees and family members do not need an NCBCH account or member login. Once an employer provides the employee access link, they can go directly to the resource and get started.

By bringing together de-identified results across participating employers, NCBCH can identify patterns in access to care and treatment outcomes. This collective evidence can help NCBCH advocate with health plans for more timely access, more effective provider networks, and greater accountability for the care employees and families receive. Individual employees and family members are never identified in this reporting.
Privacy Matters
Individual screening responses and personal health information remain private. Employers and NCBCH do not receive an individual's screening responses or information about the care they seek.
De-identified, aggregate information may be used to better understand behavioral health needs and access to care, but it does not identify individual employees or family members.
