NCBCH Membership

NCBCH brings employers across North Carolina together to improve the quality, affordability, and value of healthcare.Through resources, education, peer connections, events, and a collective employer voice, we help employers navigate healthcare issues affecting their organizations, employees, and families.

NCBCH also brings together healthcare stakeholders and organizations that share an interest in improving healthcare for North Carolina employers and their employees. These relationships provide additional expertise, perspectives, resources, and opportunities for collaboration.

NCBCH offers three types of membership:

Employer Membership:

Employer Membership is available to private and public-sector employers with 25 or more employees based or residing in North Carolina. The primary representative is generally an individual responsible for HR, Finance, Total Rewards, or Employee Benefits, and additional representatives from the organization may participate at no additional membership cost.

To encourage participation by employers of all sizes, annual Employer Membership dues are just $250 per organization.

Complimentary registration for up to three representatives at NCBCH Spring and Fall Forums and other designated in-person events.
Complimentary participation in employer roundtables, webinars, and other educational programs.
Access to member-only resources, including past event presentations, employer tools, member connections, and other resources.
Opportunities to connect and exchange ideas with peer HR, benefits, finance, and Total Rewards leaders.
Access to special programs, tools, and opportunities available through NCBCH and our national partners.
Invitations to select employer surveys, discussions, programs, and other opportunities as available.

Affiliate Membership:

Health and wellbeing vendors seeking to align with NCBCH and increase their visibility to purchasers in North Carolina are invited to apply for Affiliate Membership.

Prospective Affiliate Members are carefully reviewed and vetted, with all Affiliate Memberships subject to approval by the NCBCH Board of Directors.

Annual Affiliate Membership dues are $4,500.

Affiliate Membership benefits include:

Visibility through a listing on the NCBCH Affiliate Members page, including information about your organization and the services and resources you provide.
Complimentary registration for up to two representatives at NCBCH Spring and Fall Forums and other designated events.
Opportunities to sponsor individual NCBCH events and programs.
Opportunities to propose educational topics, speakers, and thought-leadership content for consideration for NCBCH programs.
Opportunities to connect with North Carolina employers and other healthcare and benefits stakeholders through NCBCH events and activities.
Ability to invite prospective employer members or non-member employer clients to designated NCBCH events as guests.

NC Healthcare Advisory Council:

The North Carolina Healthcare Advisory Council provides an opportunity for select healthcare stakeholder organizations seeking a higher level of engagement with NCBCH, its Board, and employer members. The Council provides a forum to exchange perspectives, inform NCBCH’s work, and collaborate on issues important to employers and purchasers of healthcare.The Council is intended to enable collaboration and the exchange of ideas among key stakeholders, including leading health plans; industry and advocacy organizations; accreditation, governmental, and other state and local entities; pharmaceutical and select provider organizations; and other leading employer-focused groups.Annual Healthcare Advisory Council membership is $7,500. A reduced annual membership rate of $2,500 is available to non-profit academic, research, trade, advocacy, and governmental organizations that do not offer direct medical services.

Healthcare Advisory Council benefits include:

Visibility and recognition as a Healthcare Advisory Council member and supporter on the NCBCH website and other materials.
Participation in Healthcare Advisory Council dinner meetings typically held immediately prior to NCBCH’s Spring and Fall Forums.
Engagement with the NCBCH Board and invited employers in high-level discussions of issues important to purchasers of healthcare services and products.
Opportunities to provide NCBCH and its members with key insights and perspectives on industry trends, challenges, and innovations in the marketplace.
Opportunities to work with the NCBCH Board and members in shaping a collective agenda for healthcare improvement, including relevant delivery-system innovation and alignment among key healthcare stakeholders.
Ability to provide periodic communications, such as articles and press releases, for distribution to NCBCH members.
Invitations to strategic dialogues with NCBCH and meetings with key stakeholders, as appropriate.
Opportunities to be actively involved in strategic partnerships with NCBCH and its members through activities such as:
- NCBCH initiatives, including transparency in healthcare, mental health and wellbeing, oncology, obesity and diabetes, pharmacy and medical drugs, and other areas of focus.
- Research, clinical briefs, and related resources.
- Providing strategic expertise and knowledge at NCBCH events.
