Who is NCBCH?
North Carolina Business Coalition on Health (formerly NC Business Group on Health) was founded in 2010.
We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit coalition of employers and other key stakeholders
using our collective voice to impact the quality and cost of healthcare delivery systems
across North Carolina and the nation by:
Advocating – Creating a business community with a shared vision and message on matters of healthcare based on sound fiscal principles and quality standards.
Innovating – Seeking creative, common-sense solutions to improve the overall cost and quality of our healthcare delivery system.
Educating – Promoting health and wellness education, as well as provider transparency of
quality and outcomes to empower employees and all citizens of our state to make more informed decisions as healthcare consumers.
NCBCH is NOT…
• An insurance company | • A provider | • A for-profit entity |
• A broker/consultant | • A partisan organization | • A lobbyist organization |
General (employer) membership dues are only $250 for the entire organization on a rolling annual basis.

North Carolina and National Scope
NCBCH represents North Carolina healthcare purchasers,
but we are also a member of the National Alliance of Healthcare Purchaser Coalitions (“National Alliance”)
the only nonprofit, purchaser-led organization with a national and regional structure dedicated to driving healthcare value across the country.
NCBCH is proud to represent North Carolina as a part of National Alliance’s nationwide voice
Membership and Support
NCBCH strives to achieve its mission through the support of its members — General (Employer), Affiliate, and Advisory Council.

Employer Summer Roundtable Lunches
In the Summer, Employer Roundtable Lunches are held locally across the state for a smaller group discussion of issues.
Issue Specific Roundtables
Employer members are periodically invited to specialized roundtable events to discuss areas of interest
National Alliance Events
The National Alliance also holds two in-person events per year, a Leadership Summit in early summer (location varies)
and Annual Forum in November in Washington, DC. NCBCH members are often able to attend these national events at a complimentary or discounted rate.
Initiatives:
Current initiatives include areas of Obesity and Diabetes, Healthcare Cost Containment, Mental/Behavioral Health,
Cancer, Pharmaceutical Management, Wellness and Wellbeing, as well as other topics of interest to employer members.
We are pleased to also collaborate on these initiatives and other healthcare issues with the State of North Carolina,
the North Carolina Medical Society, universities, and other key healthcare stakeholders across the state.
